With Major Melon being the first permanent flavor to enter market in over 10 years, we had to lean into the dramatic, after all it is the new “Life Changing Flavor.” Watermelon is no stranger to you. You’ve had it before: in popsicles, candy, even in salads. But you’ve never had it in its most ultimate form until now. Major Melon MTN DEW is here to shatter your expectations of watermelon and show you how truly epic it can be down to its core. We shot on a Phantom at 2,000 fps to make sure we captured each and every glorious moment. To add an unexpected Dew twist, we created our own epic operatic track to match this unique flavor!

Tapping into behavior of TikTok creators using time lapses to show art being made, we wanted to create our sculptural masterpiece in honor of our new flavor. Partnering with professionals from Maniac Pumpkin Carvers, we shot a time lapse of them carving a Major Melon bottle from a watermelon.

When supply ran out of Major Melon, we decided to address the problem by playfully guilting DEWNation into thinking that our new CBEC (Chief Executive Bottle Counter) has had a breakdown due to the overwhelming amount of Mtn Dew Major Melon bought and his slight miscalculation (he forgot to carry the 1).. Showcasing Ned’s loveable but “in over his head” type of character we hoped to bring some comic relief to fans that take their MTN Dew all too seriously.
